Add realistic physics simulation to Element 3D with Newton 3
Unlike dedicated 3D software such as CINEMA 4D and Blender that have built in physics simulation; After Effects and Element 3D aren’t able to produce realistic, lifelike animation without a lot of keyframing, time and skill.
In this tutorial beMOTION.dESIGN shows you how you can easily add physics simulation to Element 3D models inside of After Effects using the Motion Boutique Newton 3 plugin.
Newton 3 brings realistic physics to After Effects and Element 3D, making your composition layers act like solid objects that interact with each other – just like in the real world. It gives you many ways to control the properties of your objects, including type, density, friction, bounciness and velocity. You can also change world properties, like gravity. What’s more, Newton 3 allows you to create realistic joints between objects, so you can easily create complex motion. Once you complete your simulation, the animation is recreated in After Effects with standard keyframes, so you can adjust the timing however you choose.
If you’re quick, you can pick up the Newton 3 plugin on sale with a 20% discount here. The sale ends this Friday 15th July 2022.
